MG Motor India Launches ‘MG eXpert’ to Improve Online Shopping Experience | Mobility News

MG Motor India launched its digital car exploration platform “MG eXpert” on February 16. The newly launched platform offers MG customers an online product discovery and assisted shopping experience.

MG eXpert offers a full range of flexible and convenient interactions for a holistic shopping experience to customers, using human intervention and augmented reality (AR) technology, multiple touch points from the comfort of their home, a said the company.

Gaurav Gupta, Commercial Director of MG Motor India, said that over the past two years there has been a shift in consumer behavior with flexibility and the need to have the convenience of doing things on their own. rhythm as a priority, as well as their state of mind leaning more towards e-Commerce.

“We also felt that the technology has evolved so much that we should be able to challenge ourselves as to what we can bring to the customer, from the point of view only of how a customer can interact with our product”, said Gupta on the idea behind bringing in MG eXpert.

Through this platform, he said, in addition to getting a virtual preview of the car, customers can get key aspects of a car buying journey such as on-road price, expected delivery date, variant comparison, effectively bringing the dealership experience home. Additionally, customers can book a test drive at their nearest dealership, he added.

“It (MG eXpert) is now ready to go to market and then in a few weeks we will take it all over India 24/7,” Gupta said. Based on Eccentric Engine’s experience management tool, MG eXpert brings together both audio and visual content to deliver seamless product exploration, bridging the gap between virtual and face-to-face interaction.

“Our new Chief Experience Officer will provide immense opportunities for our partner MG Motor and its dealership partners to create unprecedented engagement with their customers by changing the very nature of interactions,” said Varun Shah, co-founder and CEO of ‘Eccentric Engine.
